Introduction

About the Course

GED-580 emphisizes the use of PHP and server-side web programming to create educational websites. Students learned how to use PHP in a manner which websites can be used to create dynamic webpages as well as add advanced features to websites that would be unavailable with HTML coding alone.
In addition, students learned how to manage their wesite database, as well as using MySQL databases as part of an educational website. MySQL was a very important part of the class and allowed students to use database programming, with the help of Dreamweaver CS3. Connections to a MySQL database allowed students to learn essential maintainence (with PHPMyAdmin) and commands that make PHP-MySQL interactions possible.

About Me

I'm a Cal Poly Pomona graduate student in the Multimedia Education program, due to gradeuate in early '09 with my degree. In addition, I am receiveing my credential at Cal Poly Pomona. Professionally, I'm a subsitute teaacher in the Chaffey Joint Union High School District.
